Dr. Joel Gondi is a senior public health professional and government health leader in Kenya. He currently serves as the Head of the Primary Health Care (PHC) Directorate within the Ministry of Health, where he plays a key role in guiding policies and programs aimed at strengthening primary health care services and advancing Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
Before his current role, Dr. Gondi has held senior positions within the Ministry of Health, including leadership roles in reproductive and maternal health services and as Senior Deputy Director of Medical Services. He holds medical and public health qualifications, including an MBChB, a Master of International/Public Health, and an Executive MBA, reflecting a strong combination of clinical, public health, and managerial expertise.
