Lead for the Africa Health Collaborative at the Mastercard Foundation.

Emmanuela Alimlim is a seasoned professional currently serving as the Lead for the Africa Health Collaborative at the Mastercard Foundation. In this role, Emmanuela drives initiatives to enhance institutional capacity for training skilled workers in primary healthcare and fosters collaboration among diverse health sector actors. Additionally, Emmanuela has led a secondment on the Nkabom initiative, emphasizing workforce development in the agri-food and nutrition sectors. Prior to these roles, Emmanuela managed collaborations among higher education institutions globally, focusing on mental health and well-being support for scholars. Early career experiences include roles as a Program Analyst at Mastercard Foundation and internships with Equity Group Foundation and Equity Bank Limited. Emmanuela holds a Master of Science in Medical Leadership/Health Systems Strengthening from Lancaster University, an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Toronto, and a Project Management Certificate from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
