Joachim Osur is a Professor of Public Health as well as a Sexual and Reproductive Health practitioner. He is the Vice Chancellor, Amref International University. He is a leader with wide experience in building sustainable health systems in Africa. He is also a specialist in higher education with a focus in building fit for purpose health workforce for African health systems. He is a medical practitioner specialized in Sexual Medicine and continues to attend to patients in his line of specialization. Among others he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery; a Masters in Public Health; a PhD in Reproductive health and a Fellowship in Sexual Medicine. He is board member of several governmental and non-governmental organizations. He is a well published researcher with interests in Senga health, a growing area of interest on how indigenous knowledge and practices affect sexual and reproductive health.
