Dr Christine Mbindyo

Christine Mbindyo is a Veterinarian and lecturer at the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology, at the University of Nairobi. She holds a Ph.D., and MSc. in Applied Microbiology from the University of Nairobi.  As a veterinary microbiologist, her work focuses on zoonotic microorganisms in food animals and Antimicrobial Resistance. Along these lines, she has worked on several projects focusing on potentially zoonotic bacteria and Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in food animals.

 

Christine is a member of the National Antimicrobial Stewardship Interagency Committee (NASIC) Technical Working Group and a Policies and Partnerships Activity Lead for Africa One Health University Network (AFROHUN) Kenya. Her research interests are in Zoonosis, One Health, and Antimicrobial Resistance in food animals.
